Supermarket 2023
The Annual Class A Supermarket Event was held on the 24th of June, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am in our School Hall. All six sections – Great Bears, Twinkling Stars, Birds of Paradise, Little Dippers, Blue Dolphins, and Shooting Stars – opened their own individual mini-shops, each offering different food items.
The program was hosted by Madam I. Tainla Ao, Supervisor of Star Kids. It began with an invocation by Miss Lhingneichin Roselyn, the Class Teacher of Class-A (Blue Dolphins).
This community-centric event aims to foster responsibility and mindfulness in children from an early age. It exposes them to the commercial world, instilling self-sufficiency and independence for their future prospects. The program’s objective is to help students utilize number concepts such as counting numbers 0-10 and counting on in 10s and 100s. It also teaches them practical skills like using weighing machines, keeping tally, and recording beyond classroom applications.
Through this event, a child can polish their conversation skills, learn persuasion techniques, and adapt to a calculative mindset. It contributes to personality development and boosts children’s confidence, aiding their overall development. The event also exercises the mental abilities of the students, enhancing their reasoning skills and decision-making abilities.
The event was a resounding success, enjoyed by all. It concluded with a benediction prayer from Miss Risemenla, the Class A Teacher of the Shooting Stars section.
