The Annual Supermarket event hosted by Class A students was held on the 17th of September, 2022 at the 5th floor hall. The event is held every year with a goal to allow the little ones to learn from experience: from what happens around them, from what they see, hear, smell, taste and touch. To absorb those experiences and make sense of the world, they need to be engaged in imaginary play. The event also provides them an opportunity to apply their newfound knowledge of numbers and alphabets into real life application.
The event was hosted by Miss Eunice Chen, Class Teacher of Blue Dolphin. She welcomed the parents and expressed gratitude for their presence in the event. The event started with a prayer from Miss Shürhoneiü, Assistant Teacher Nursery. The excitement of the little ones was evident as they were all amazingly adorned in the most colorful aprons welcoming the parents with a smile to their respective shops. Some of the little ones in a quest to sell off their food items ran out to persuade the parents to purchase from their shops. The little Shopkeepers complimented and thanked the customers for purchasing from their shops. The record keepers were keenly listening to the items being purchased, they kept a precise record of everything purchased by the customers. The little ones performed so well with gusto, they knew no thirst or hunger as all of them enjoyed acting out their role in real life situations. The little ones effectively carried out their responsibility and developed healthy connections with their peers.
The little ones manning their own little shops boosted their confidence and sparked their creativity and imagination. It also developed their social skills as they collaborated with one another. The Supermarket event motivated the little ones positively in a fun and engaging way.
The program ended with a benediction by Miss Arenla Imti, Class Teacher Birds of Paradise.
