Starkids proudly hosted the 2nd Annual Sports event on November 13 and 14 at the esteemed Little Star Sports Complex, Burma Camp. The festivities kicked off at 8:30 AM and continued until 1:00 PM, bringing together students and teachers for a vibrant celebration of athleticism and camaraderie.

The turnout was remarkable, with enthusiastic participation from different classes. Class Nursery boasted 91 students, Class A had 136 participants, and Class B brought together 130 eager students.

The event featured a diverse array of games, showcasing the students’ athletic prowess and teamwork. Each class engaged in a series of challenges, contributing to the overall energy and excitement of the sports days.

**Class B played the following games:**

– Throw the Ball

– Obstacle Race

– Long Jump

– Running Race

– Musical Chair

             Class B received special recognition, with medals awarded for their outstanding performance in the Running Race and fridge magnets presented for their agility in the Obstacle Race.

– Balance the Beam

              The youngest participants, Class Nursery, showcased their talent in the Spoon Race, earning well-deserved medals, and demonstrated their musical chair finesse, receiving fridge magnets.

The 2nd Annual Sports event was a resounding success, celebrating not only physical prowess but also the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork. Congratulations to all participants for making this event memorable and enjoyable. We extend our appreciation to the teachers, staff, and parents who contributed to the success of this vibrant and spirited occasion. Here’s to fostering a culture of health, teamwork, and achievement in our school community.

1st Annual Sports Meet

Sports play an important part in character building. In recognition of the need to inculcate the
sporting spirit in children, the school organized the 1st Annual Sports Meet on the 14th and
15th of November 2022. It was held in the school playground. It provided an ideal opportunity
for the children to demonstrate their prowess in various sporting disciplines.
There were three categories Sub-junior, Junior and Senior and the students were
divided into four houses namely – GREEN HOUSE,RED HOUSE,YELLOW HOUSE,BLUE
HOUSE,they had their respective houses colored ribbons tied on their wrist . Our 1st Annual
Sports Meet commenced with a mass prayer followed by the different games.
The Nursery classes comprised of 68 students and they were placed in the sub-junior
category.On the first day i.e 14th of November three games were played:- Fill the egg tray,
Balloon Stomp,collect the gem.On the second day i.e 15th of November two games were
played- Glass Pyramid and Pass the ball.From the games they learned how to work as a team,
they also learned how to support, cheer and encourage their friends.
The class A comprised 119 students and they were placed in the Junior category. On the
first day three games were played :-In and out,fill the cup,hit the target. The games tested their
accuracy and strategy in relation to scoring zones in target games and also to listen and follow
the directions.
On the second day two games were played:-Spoon race,Green light red light . The games on
the second day tested their hand-eye coordination, balance and their ability to follow
instructions.
The class B comprised of 130 students and they were placed in the senior
category.On the first day, three interesting games were played i.e. “In and Out”, “Stone Toss”
and “Changing the Cups”. The games tested their individual agility, mettle and strength. On the
second day, another three games were played- “Balloon Cup Stacking”, “Musical Chair” and
“Balloon Bursting”. For each of these games, three winners were selected.
Besides these games the students also got to play different stall games like “Hit the
Target”, “Polka Dot”, “Guess how Many” and “Ball in the Bucket” for which they won many
exciting prizes. On both days after the competitive games were over, the students also got to
play “Tug of War” game between different sections which brought alive the whole ground as
the spectators fervently cheered for both the teams.All the kids were encouraged to participate
in all the games and everyone had so much fun. They had been eagerly anticipating for this day
so they enjoyed it to the fullest.Every child won the prizes in one or the other competition. They
were so ecstatic with the prizes they won. They had so much fun that they did not want the
sports to come to an end.
We had a fun and rejuvenating Sports Week. It helped the little ones build their self-esteem, the loud cheers from their peers made each of the students feel appreciated and feel good about themselves, enhanced their social circle , built their team work, promoted their patience and creativity. It was so much fun and a good learning experience for all of us .
