One of the most exciting annual events “Around the World in a Day” was hosted by the Class B students on 6th July 2022 at the school hall. All the students from all the five sections enthusiastically participated in this event. The event is held every year with the motive to allow the students to learn about the various cultures, languages, sports, currencies, cuisines etc. from around the world. It is indeed an eye-opener for the students to learn about the different countries of the world. The event provides an opportunity for the students to show cast their different talents and abilities.
The event was hosted by Miss Nzanbeni Ngullie, Class Teacher of Class A (Great Bears). She welcomed the parents and expressed gratitude for their presence in the event. Each student said a few lines about the food, the flag, the currencies, sports etc on the countries they were representing which was supported by a slide presentation. The students gave a glimpse of the cultures, food, famous personalities with the help of models and pictorial representation. Each student said few lines to give an insight about the countries that they represented. They were all very audible and confident and were more happy to give their presentations.
For the exhibition, each student was given a specific topic and each of them was holding the pointer and explaining by pointing at their pictorial models to the visitors that came to their stalls. They were fully into their character as a citizen of that particular country they were representing. Each class had five to six stalls on various topics such as the flora and fauna, festivals, tourist attractions, famous cities etc. It was a very interesting as well as informative. I’m sure each parent or visitor got to learn something new and interesting from each of the stalls they visited.
