The Class A Supermarket was successfully conducted on 26th June 2026 at the Fifth Floor, Star Kids Hall. The event was organised in two separate sessions to accommodate student participation.
The first session took place from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., involving students from Blue Dolphin, Shooting Stars, and Little Dippers. The second session was conducted from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., where students from Great Bears, Twinkling Stars, and Birds of Paradise actively participated.
All students attended in their Wednesday uniforms and wore their designated aprons. The program commenced with a prayer and continued smoothly throughout the day.
The event witnessed an excellent turnout of parents, whose presence and encouragement created a lively and supportive atmosphere. Students participated enthusiastically and confidently demonstrated various skills acquired through classroom learning.
The supermarket activity provided students with opportunities to apply practical life skills. They demonstrated counting using tally marks, counting in tens, communication skills, and basic transactional abilities. Several classes also presented hands-on activities such as preparing lemonade, making soap, creating bookmarks, and preparing waffles.
Students further displayed problem-solving and mathematical skills while using weighing machines and managing purchases. One of the highlights of the event was observing students accurately calculate and return change, even when parents paid using larger denominations such as ₹200 notes. This practical application of learning was highly appreciated by parents.
Many parents shared positive feedback and expressed excitement at seeing their children confidently manage their mini shops. The children remained engaged, excited, and proud throughout the event.
Overall, the Class A Supermarket was a meaningful and successful learning experience that showcased the students’ creativity, communication, confidence, and application of practical skills. The commitment and teamwork of both students and teachers contributed greatly to the success of the programme.
The event concluded on a joyful note with a fun fiction segment, making the day memorable.
