Nursery Outing Report

The Nursery class went for their first outing of 2025 to Niathu Park on 21st February 2025. A total of 67 students, along with 12 teaching and 4 non-teaching staff, participated in the outing.

The outing was conducted to provide children with an opportunity for outdoor learning and recreational activities. The trip aimed to enhance their social skills, sensory exploration, and appreciation of nature in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Prior to the trip, the students were briefed on safety rules and expectations before departure. A headcount was taken before boarding the bus, ensuring that every child was accounted for.

The bus journey was filled with excitement as the children eagerly anticipated their adventure. They sang nursery rhymes and observed the passing scenery with fascination. Teachers and assistants kept the energy positive by engaging the children in singing and having short conversations.

Some children expressed their curiosity about the trip in the following manner:

Nilo from Milky Ways said, “Look, it’s a tractor,” after seeing one on the way.

Chenden from Tiny Twinkles said, “The bus is moving up and down,” when the bus started moving.

Yimnir from Angel Star excitedly said, “Wow! I see so many JCBs.”

Nilo from Milky Ways pointed at the rail track and said, “It’s a rail station,” as the bus passed by it.

After reaching the park, Akivini from Tiny Twinkles said, “Yippee! We have reached the park. Now we will go inside and play.”

After looking at the slide, Sochen said, “I also have the same slide at home.”

Anubo from Precious Angels spoke for the first time, asking, “Miss, how do I close the tiffin?”

Imjungwati offered his sunglasses to the teacher, showing an act of kindness.

Lorenbeni from Tiny Twinkles saw some flower pots in the park and said, “My mommy has the same flower in the garden.”

Elovi from Milky Ways said, “Look, it’s a lion!” when she saw a lion wooden craft in the park.

Tiamen said that the park was so big and that she really enjoyed the playground.

Yansh saw an ambulance while returning from the park and said, “It’s a police car.”

Katherine, after returning, said, “Even though I am tired, I really enjoyed playing in the park.”

After an enjoyable time at the park, the children gathered for a final headcount before boarding the bus.

The return bus journey was a calm experience, with many children feeling tired after an eventful day. Some dozed off, while others quietly reflected on their favourite activities. Soft music was played to create a relaxed atmosphere, though occasional giggles and happy chatter could still be heard.

The journey back provided a peaceful transition from the excitement of the outing to the familiar setting of school. They returned to school safely, tired but happy.

The outing was a great success, providing a fun and educational experience that reinforced classroom learning in a natural setting.

Overall, the outing to Niathu Park was a delightful and enriching experience, fostering curiosity, teamwork, and an appreciation for the outdoors among the nursery children.
