Class A Zoo Trip

On 22nd of October 2024, The students of Class-A visited a zoo at Nagaland Zoological park as part of Educational field trip. The trip aimed to provide opportunities for exploration and discovery of various animal species and their habitats.

A total of 130 students, accompanied by 12 teachers and 6 sisters, traveled to the zoo on three buses. The students enjoyed the ride, eagerly chattering, laughing and singing together, excitedly anticipating the wildlife adventures ahead. As they traveled, their eyes widened with excitement, upon catching sight of the rail track glinting in the sunlight on their way. Upon arrival, the students posed for a memorable class-wise photo session before venturing into the zoo’s gate.

The students observed a diverse range of animals and their feeding habits. The zoo was well-maintained, with clean enclosures and adequate signage providing information about each species helped to understand their unique characteristics. ⁠Highlights included the powerful physique tiger, quilled porcupines, agility fox, playful monkeys, and colorful birds.

They gained insight into the importance of conservation and wildlife preservation, developed their observation and critical thinking skills by analyzing the animals’ behavior and habitats.

The zoo visit was an enriching experience, providing a unique opportunity to connect with nature and learn about the fascinating world of animals, enhancing their general knowledge. The dedication of the zoo staff in ensuring animal welfare and providing engaging exhibits is truly appreciated.
